Dipak Niroula
Dipak Niroula is a social change maker, community leader, and accomplished entrepreneur with over 13 years of leadership experience in both Nepal and the USA.
Born in Sovara Gaun, a rural village in Panchthar, Nepal, Dipak overcame significant challenges in his early life. He walked two hours barefoot each way through dense jungle, without food or water, just to attend school. These early hardships ignited his lifelong commitment to improving education, healthcare, and community development.
After graduating from high school, Dipak moved to Kathmandu with big dreams of higher education and career opportunities. Though financial struggles prevented him from pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer, he refused to give up. Instead, Dipak created new opportunities for himself by founding multiple successful businesses, including Golden Star Travel Tours, Flourish International Education, Sky Touch Travels & Tours, and Homestay Kusunti Nepal. These ventures not only provided economic opportunities but also helped drive community-based solutions.
As the co-founder of BLSO Nepal, Dipak has played a key role in leading initiatives that provide critical support to vulnerable communities. Between 2011 and 2015, he personally cared for 96 homeless children in Kathmandu, using 20% of his business profits to fund their shelter, food, clothing, healthcare, and education. Tragically, his businesses and home were severely damaged in the 2015 Nepal earthquake while he was visiting his family in the USA.
In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Dipak is a dedicated author and translator. He has published several books aimed at helping Nepalese workers abroad. His publications have been reprinted multiple times and officially adopted by Nepal’s Ministry of Labor as part of its worker orientation guide program.
Recognized both nationally and internationally for his contributions to social impact and business, Dipak continues to drive meaningful change from New Hampshire, USA. Through his nonprofit work, partnerships with local organizations, and entrepreneurial efforts, he remains committed to creating sustainable development and supporting marginalized communities.
